It’s so hard to describe couple’s wedding days. I always feel so grateful to be included and, yet, their story isn’t necessarily my story to tell. So I’ve decided to try something new and list some of my favorite parts of the day (ie - highlights from a photographer’s perspective), here goes:
First of all, I LOVE that Michala had a first look with both her parents. I’ve photographed a few of these lately and they’ve all had so much emotion. I also thought it was super sweet that Michala’s dad surprised both the bride and groom with gifts. Further, Michala’s aunts from Ireland attended and they were all hilarious.
I know that both the bride and groom were stressed before the big day, but once we arrived at Meadowlark - and they were together - I could see Michala’s and Bryan’s faces relax as they started to embrace the joy of being surrounded by so many family and friends. When I said goodbye to them both they were glowing, which, to me, is the sign of a wonderful wedding.
