Three Generations on a Rainy Saturday in December (Falls Church, VA)

If, then, I were asked for the most important advice I could give . . . I should simply say . . . stop a moment, cease your work, look around you.

This was one of my favorite photo shoots ever. And, I’m not going to lie, one of my hardest (13 people is a lot of people to keep track of - talk about visual overload). Luckily, each and every family member was an amazing person. And all four kids kept me entertained with books, plastic ice cream cones, Disney figurines, and pink lovies.

We had originally planned on photos outside at a park, but the rain caused us to go inside and I think it worked out so much better that way. As you already know, I love documentary style photography and it made me so happy to photograph three generations laughing and joking with each other.

I know I have years to go (hopefully), but watching these grandparents play with their children and grandchildren made me realize what I hope to have in my future.
