Snapshots of our March (Arlington, VA)

I can’t play bridge. I don’t play tennis. All those things that people learn, and I admire, there hasn’t seemed time for. But what there is time for is looking out the window.

Honestly, March seemed like the longest month ever. Work was slow and winter dragged on.

Now that the kids are older, I’ve realized I need some sort of hobby to get me through the downtimes, which seems odd after so many years or running around and chasing children - always ending the day a few hours short, with huge to-do lists already compiled for the next morning.

On the upside, we had some good moments. One sport ended (basketball) and another began (lacrosse). One of my best friends from high school came to visit with her family - so cool to spend some time as tourists in our own city. A crazy hale storm took over an afternoon. And the cherry blossoms began their peak.
