Snapshots of Our Autumn (2020)

What is the meaning of life? That was all- a simple question; one that tended to close in on one with years, the great revelation had never come. The great revelation perhaps never did come. Instead, there were little daily miracles, illuminations, matches struck unexpectedly in the dark . . .
— Virginia Woolf

I didn’t take almost any personal photos this fall, as my professional work kept me pretty busy. But we managed to have some fun adventures as a family - camping at Shenandoah River State Park (love that place!!), renting cabins in West Virginia and outside Shenandoah National Park, and trying our best to celebrate birthdays and holidays in this weird time.

Some days the frustration of us all stuck at home together becomes overwhelming. Yet other days our little bubble of family and close friends feels like the best thing ever. It ebbs and flows. 2020 was such an odd year.
